origin
Finca Lerida, a historic 100-hectare estate founded in 1924 by Toleff Bache Mönniche in Alto Quiel, Boquete, is helmed by Boquete native and entrepreneur Maria Antonella Amoruso. Since acquiring the iconic farm in 2008, Maria has expanded the enterprise across five plantations while honoring a century-old legacy of coffee excellence.
Situated on pristine terrain with 30 hectares of protected forest, the farm balances eco-conscious production—cultivating Geisha alongside SL-28, Orange Bourbon, and Typica—with strong social initiatives that support farmworkers and their families. Lerida is a fixture at the Best of Panama, consistently producing top-10 Geisha and Varietal lots, including recent honors like 9th Place Geisha Washed (2023) and holding top-tier historical auction records dating back to 2001.
