origin
Founded in 1918 by Robert Lamastus, Lamastus Family Estates is now led by four generations of coffee producers across four Panama farms: Elida, El Burro, Luito, and Lulo. Each farm features discrete microclimates that shape the complex flavor profiles of their coffees. The most awarded producer in Best of Panama history, they won Producer of the Year in 2022 following back-to-back victories in 2018 and 2019. Their El Burro Estate sits near the Pacific border within the Baru Volcano National Park reserve, where rich volcanic soil, forest cover, and unique weather patterns give El Burro Geisha its distinctive flavor.
