Founded by brothers Asefa and Mulugeta Dukamo in Sidama, Ethiopia, Daye Bensa Coffee grew from a humble local setup into one of the country's top five coffee exporters, delivering 7,500 tons annually to 25 countries across a network of 71 washing stations, 11 dry mills, and three farms. Their commitment to direct producer relationships and quality control earned them 2nd Place in the 2022 Ethiopia Cup of Excellence. A central part of their operations involves working with smallholder farmers in Hamasho Village, where dedicated contacts mentor groups of 50 to 100 farmers to refine cultivation practices. Under the guidance of second-generation leader Kenean Dukamo, the company is expanding into Guji, Bale, and West Arsi while exploring "intentional coffees" and cross-industry collaborations in winemaking and the arts. Daye Bensa also maintains a deep partnership with Archers, marked by national competition showcases, origin processing courses, and exclusive experimental lots like the Hamasho 192 Hrs.
