Founded in 2016 by 18-year-old José Luis Chevas, Chevas Coffee Estate made its mark at the 2024 Best of Panama, placing 9th in the Geisha Natural category. Continuing his grandfather’s legacy from the 1970s, José Luis transformed the family’s long-standing farm—once focused on food crops and later coffee—toward high-quality, sustainable production.
Located at 1,750 masl in El Salto, Boquete, alongside other award-winning farms, the estate benefits from ideal microclimates for Panama Geisha, Maragogype, Catuai, and Caturra. As part of a new generation of producers, José Luis blends tradition with innovation to help shape the future of Panamanian coffee.
